The Parish Council of St. Thomas More decided in 1992 that the parish would be an all volunteer community. Men and women are invited to share their talents with the parish for the enrichment of all. There are many volunteer opportunities at St. Thomas More.
Advent Tea
Volunteers are needed to provide special stringed music for this annual event.
Bible Camp
Volunteers are needed for many camp related activities. There are opportunities to help in set design, food preparation, decorating, photography, coordinating, and advertising. Approximately 100 volunteers are needed to help provide a fun filled experience of faith and learning at this one week camp for children.
Christmas Giving Tree
Volunteers are needed to create Christmas tree tags, sort gifts and deliver gifts to specific locations. There is great camaraderie and Christmas joy for those working together at this time of year.
Clothing Drive
Volunteers are needed to help with the "clothing drive" weekend. This event is held twice a year.
Community Service
Volunteers are needed to help support requests from the community with time and energy. Help is also needed to lead an event and/or drive volunteers to a charitable event.
Cookie Bakers
Volunteers are needed to bake cookies for various celebrations held at St. Thomas More. Celebrations such as Confirmation and First Eucharist require hundreds of dozens of cookies to enrich the reception for family and friends. Volunteers are asked to bake three dozen cookies.
Decade Birthday Party
Volunteers are needed to help organize, set up and clean up at this week day, evening event held in June.
Easter Egg Hunt
Volunteers are needed to help run and organize the festivities on Holy Saturday morning.
Golf Outings
Volunteers are needed to help set up and organize this annual event held for both men and women. The winners from the year before often oversee the event the following year.
Hospitality
Volunteers are needed to assist in setting up, serving, and cleaning up at a variety of parish functions. These include choir concerts, catechist gatherings, sacramental ceremonies, retreats, and other special parish events.
"More" Coffee
Volunteers are welcome to help the ushers set up, serve and clean up in the Social Hall before and after Sunday Masses.
Oktoberfest
Volunteers are welcome to help the ushers in organizing, setting up and cleaning up at this once a year celebration.
Paczki Day – Fat Tuesday
Volunteers are needed to help organize, set up and clean up at this annual event held after morning Mass the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.
Parish Picnic
Volunteers are needed to help set up and clean up after the picnic. Help with cooking, games, bingo and decorations are all needed. Many hands make less work.
Prayer Quilts
Volunteers are needed to organize a gathering, to make a quilt, and to help with the assemblying of quilts.
Red Cross Blood Drive
Volunteers are needed to work at the Blood Bank in various capacities throughout the day, including signing up Blood Bank volunteers. Help with clean up after the event is also needed.
Respect Life Committee
Volunteers are needed to continue to study life issues and work to provide support, prayer, and encouragement to organizations that support life. Helpers are also needed to work on the Annual Baby Shower – set up and delivery of gifts.
St. Vincent de Paul
Volunteers are needed to be part of this worthwhile organization. Many opportunities exist to be of assistance to bring God’s loving service to those in need.

Volunteers are needed to help sort food, package gifts and deliver meals.
